ci sono un po' di tools per cercare di entrare in una rete via dial-up. 

Molto interessante (anche se puo' sembrare incredibile) è il capitolo 8 di 
Hacking for Dummies (October 2004, Addison Wesley) che tratta il 
war-dialing. 

Come tool, consiglia: 

1) PhoneSweep by Sandstorm Enterprises
(www.sandstorm.net/products/phonesweep). 

These two freeware tools are very effective:
2) ToneLoc (www.securityfocus.com/data/tools/auditing/pstn/
tl110.zip), written by Minor Threat and Mucho Maas
3) THC-Scan, written by The Hacker?s Choice (www.thc.org/releases.php) 

In piu' puoi fare un salto su Pest Patrol: 

"There?s a list of war-dialing programs at www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo/
phreaking_tool.asp. If the freeware tools don?t have features you need,
consider a commercial product, such as PhoneSweep." 

Consiglio a tutti di leggere questo libro, poichè sebbene il tono sia e il 
linguaggio non sia assolutamente tecnico, è estremamente aggiornato su tutti 
i fronti.
