NagiosTM is a system and network monitoring application. It watches
hosts and services that you specify, alerting you when things go bad
and when they get better.

NagiosTM was originally designed to run under Linux, although it
should work under most other unices as well. For more information on

In pratica dovrebbe fare tutto quello che tu chiedi, oltre ad avere
molti plugin per il monitoring gia' pronti, tra cui uno molto carino
che serve a monitorare servizi e stato di macchine windows.

Per chi non lo sapesse Nagios è il nuovo nome di quello che un tempo
di chiamava NetSaint.

salve mi sto guardando in giro per tutti i programmi che si occupano
di
monitoraggio.
Nel mio caso vorrei un programmino/script che rilevi se determinati
host
sono raggiungibili oppure meno.
Inoltre ne vorrei uno che controllasse se un determinato servizio
(tipo
mysql,apache,samba) è su, oppure se sta consumando troppa memoria o
se
ci sono problemi, se ci sono che mi mandi una e-mail, e che magari mi
generi
delle interfaccie attraverso cui vedere come sta andando il servizio.
Ne conoscete?se si cosa fanno di quello che mi serve?
